Connect to your Rust server
There are two easy ways to join your Qubesquad Rust server: the in-game console (fastest) or the server browser.
Find your address and port
Section titled “Find your address and port”- Open your server at panel.qubesquad.com.
- Click the address at the top to open Connection details.
- Copy the full address and port — for example
your-server.qubesquad.net:28015.
Option A — the F1 console (fastest)
Section titled “Option A — the F1 console (fastest)”- Launch Rust and load into the main menu.
- Press F1 to open the console.
- Type the following, using your own address and port:
client.connect your-server.qubesquad.net:28015
- Press Enter. Rust will connect.
Option B — the server browser
Section titled “Option B — the server browser”- On the Rust main menu, click Play Game.
- Choose the Community tab (or Modded if you run Oxide/Carbon plugins).
- Type your server’s name into the search box and double-click it.
It won’t connect?
Section titled “It won’t connect?”- Server not running — check the status pill in the dashboard and press Start if it’s
offline. - Can’t find it in the browser — the browser can take a few minutes to list a freshly started server. Use the F1 console method instead.
- “Disconnected: Wrong version” — a Rust update went out. Restart your server from the dashboard so it updates to the latest build, then reconnect.
- Want to admin your server? — Rust servers include RCON. Find the host, port and password under Settings → RCON (WebRCON).
- Time for a fresh map? — see Wipe a Rust server.
