How to add plugins

Plugins add features to your server — permissions, homes, economy, anti-grief and much more. Qubesquad has a built-in catalogue, so you search, click Install, and we handle the download and any required dependencies. You never paste a download link.

Where to find it

1. Open your server at panel.qubesquad.com.
2. Click the Plugins tab.

No Plugins tab?

The tab only appears on servers that support plugins — Minecraft on Paper/Spigot, Rust with Oxide or Carbon, and Valheim with BepInEx. A plain Vanilla, Forge or Fabric server won’t have it. If you’re on Minecraft and want plugins, switch your setup to Paper; if you want mods instead, use a Forge/Fabric setup and the file manager.

Install a plugin

1. In the Add a plugin search box, type what you want — for example EssentialsX, LuckPerms or Vault.
2. Find it in the results and click Install.
3. Any plugins it depends on are installed automatically.

That’s it. Downloads are resolved and safety-checked by us, so you can’t accidentally install something from a bad link.

When does it take effect?

• Minecraft (Paper/Spigot) and Valheim (BepInEx) — restart your server to load or unload plugins.
• Rust (Oxide/Carbon) — plugins load and unload live, no restart needed.

Manage what’s installed

The Installed list at the top of the tab shows everything on your server:

• Remove — deletes the plugin but keeps its config folder (handy if you’ll reinstall it).
• Remove + config — deletes the plugin and its settings.
• Plugins you uploaded yourself (via SFTP or the file manager) show an “added manually” badge and are left for you to manage by hand.

Configuring a plugin

After a plugin has run once, its config file appears under the Files tab (usually in a plugins/ or config/ folder). Edit it there, then restart to apply.
